What GapIdeation does
GapIdeation is a research and ideation platform for founders and operators. Enter any company name and get a structured analysis: what the company sells, how customers use it, what practitioners complain about, and what competitors miss. The platform generates 1-3 defensible startup ideas backed by exact quotes and links from public forums, review sites, and developer communities.
How we use your data
When you sign in with Google or GitHub, we only access your basic profile information (name, email, and profile picture) to create and manage your account. We use this to:
- Authenticate your identity and keep your account secure
- Save your company workspaces and analysis history
- Let you export and share research reports
We do not access your contacts, files, repositories, or any other data from your Google or GitHub account. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties.
Data sources and evidence
All evidence displayed in GapIdeation comes from publicly available sources: Reddit, Hacker News, Stack Overflow, GitHub Issues, G2, and company websites. We present short, fair-use excerpts with direct links to the original source. We respect robots.txt and site terms of service, and provide a mechanism for content owners to request removal of their content.
